meet the diva

AboutMy name is Marisol but you can call me Mae.  I am a Staffing Consultant by day and a Domesticated Diva by night around the clock.  As you may have noticed from reading the blog I love anything and everything that involves yumminess, cuteness and creativeness. 

The most important thing you should know about me is that I am a mommy of 2 incredible children, Parrish and Ava,  but we (hubby and I) call  them our Potatertots.  They have inherited my “foodie” gene and jump at any chance to watch the Food Network or to help stir the batter.

I was born and raised a CA girl and just recently moved to MO.  The hardest thing I’ve ever had to do was leave my life in CA to follow my husband’s dream in MO.  As they say, life is full of sacrifices and without struggle there is no progress.  So, here I am!! 

My love of baking started when I was younger and within the last 2 years my love of baking evolved into a weekly and sometimes daily habit.  I think my co-workers and hubby’s co-workers think I’m conspiring to make them gain weight.  Hey, I need someone to eat everything I make!

Why I blog…

I started blogging back in 2010 to document what I was baking.  From there it has transformed into a place where people can find inspiration.  Whether it’s a recipe, DIY or ideas for a party.  Inspiration can be found in everyday things and I hope to inspire some of you.
